Rubrics and Competencies
As a teacher, wouldn't it be nice to just pass or fail the student by whether he or she can demonstrate to the teacher he or she has mastered the standards instead of having an Infinite Campus with a requirement to enter at least 6 numerical grades per 9 weeks for each category of grades. (Test, Quiz, Classwork)For competency grading I have set up the following structure. CTAE standards have work ethic built in, so I have also incorporated some work ethic competencies in the structure.
